Q. Seth has described 9 families of consciousness that exist in the universe. Is there any terminology in the Michael Teachings that would describe these families? For example, are these families actually cadres, entities, or maybe roles?

SETH'S 9 FAMILIES OF CONSCIOUSNESS: Gramada - to found social systems; Sumafi - to transmit originality through teachings; Tumold - to heal, regardless of individual occupation; Vold - to reform the status quo; Milumet - to mystically nourish mankind's psyche; Zuli - to serve as physical, athletic models; Boreledim - to provide earth stock for species via parenthood; Ilda - to spread and exchange ideas; Sumari - to provide cultural, spiritual, & artistic heritage for species.

MICHAEL: These families of consciousness are not attached to particular souls but provide a way to delineate foci for series of lifetimes for individual fragments. For example, you might have a series of four lifetimes focusing on reforming some aspect of society; you would then be drawing on a discrete consciousness called "Vold" here.

Channeling Witchhunts

Q: What are your thoughts about invalidating Michael channels, or
those who say they channel Michael? In other words, witch hunts.

A: Any endeavor that results in the condemnation of another is not
what was intended when we originally taught about validation. There
is little value in criticism when it doesn't emanate from a place of
love. To dismiss another is to dismiss yourself, and all hope of
achieving anything good from the action is ultimately lost. There
will, however, be lessons learned from such choices.

A student who requests contact with us will make contact. Period.
Whether or not they choose to listen or lack the innate skills to
maintain a fruitful exchange, is not as important as the act itself.
Every connection made to us, no matter how small, enhances the scope
of the teachings and this is good work.

We are here to guide our students with or without the help of a
channel. We do this both intellectually and energetically. If a
channel is blocking our transmission, either purposely or due to a
fundamental lack, we are quite capable of planting the necessary seed
in the mind of any student who requests our guidance.

"Given that so many of our students have sought our advice through various channels and teachers, we feel it's prudent to make them aware of other sources they could tap into on their own.

We're not suggesting they should all channel spiritual entities, but merely connect to the wealth of knowledge that lies just beneath the veil of their own waking consciousness. Retrieving answers to the daily questions that daunt them may be achieved as easily as switching on a light and availing themselves to the illumination of their collective selves, a source of extensive wisdom and innumerable experience.

Learning to retrieve this information, however, need not be an arduous process requiring deep meditation and complicated connections to the higher planes. Students could simply open themselves to the gifts of essence and ask their questions in a state of open-minded awareness that's allowing of the process and willing to receive the information without biased expectations or prefabricated desires.

It can be as simple as that.

Once again, we only offer this message because some students seem overly dependent on our words and perhaps need to gain a greater independence of their own using wisdom that, unbeknownst to them, is freely harbored within."

Overleaves and Happiness

Don't overleaves affect one's ability to achieve a state of happiness? Isn't it easier with some combinations than others?

Michaelgrp: Some overleaves can be more obstructive in the achievement of happiness than others because they are chosen for Karma completion. Cynic, for example, however, even a Cynic, can achieve true happiness if they are willing to surrender to love and if its more important to them to be loved than to be right. It is very easy to live in the intellectual concept that life sucks and to manifest being right about that every day. If you get more satisfaction out of being right, than out of being happy, then cynic or not, no matter what your overleaves, you will continue to prove to yourself on a daily basis that happiness is not available. Struggle Between False Personality and Essence

Question: Is this a struggle between false personality and true personality?

Michaelgrp: Yes, our false personality wants to believe that we are victims of circumstance. The truth is that each person is inherently priceless because the Universe has designed each of us to be doing an exact specific growth lesson that can be done by no one else, who is not us. When you can live in your pricelessness, you can achieve any goal. Unfortunately, many people equate pricelessness with an inability to see any value because there is not a specific price tag on invaluable merchandise. They consider themselves to be worth nothing instead of worth everything. Other people's opinions are simply that--their opinions. They have absolutely nothing to do with your inherent value. Someone else can think you have little or no value because they are simply not in touch Universal consciousness. The opinions of others, in this case, are irrelevant because many opinions are based on projection rather than reality. WE are here to tell you that every person on this planet is priceless even if they are having a lifetime as a homeless alcoholic. Yes, R and L, your energy shifted because you were ready to do this work and begin to drop low self-esteem and self-deprecation. This is a long term work for you and you will see many more shifts over the next three years.

Astral Plane & Nostalgia

Q. I wonder how many of the physical plane trappings remain on the astral. For instance, do souls on the astral ever listen to Christmas music? I wonder if there's an earthly nostalgia at all, perhaps for the souls still incarnating.

A. There can be some nostalgia, although rarely among those who have cycled off. Some may remember experiences that were pleasing, such as favorite Christmas music. It is not unlike how people remember fondly songs from school days. They do not listen so much as recall.

One of the Yarbro channels got that he was a 7th-young king. In addition, I got warrior ET, warrior/scholar casting, “honorary warrior,” beauty orientation, 51/49 male/female, 61 frequency, 12 previous cycles, freedom/adventure/power, growth, realist, passion, moving/emotional part, arrogance, mercurial/martial.

Last night, a client asked about what Steve Jobs' passing over was like, considering that he wasn't such a nice person a certain amount of the time. Michael said he had a positive experience passing over, and that he considers the positives to have outweighed the negatives in this lifetime. Most souls have a life review and he will no doubt do that. However, in seeing not only his actions but how they affected others, his guides will not force him to interpret those events in any particular way; they will be Socratic and ask probing questions. It will still be his choice to decide whether his behavior was appropriate. Michael felt sure that he would want to work on his "interpersonal relationship skills" in future lifetimes, but it's hard for kings (and warriors) to realize how harshly they come off to others, since they have pretty tough hides themselves. Also, because they look at the big action picture, it's easy for them to think that their harshness is necessary for the greater accomplishment and to accept some "collateral damage" in the form of hurt feelings, etc., especially when they think they're right.

I've been listening to an audiobook of a George Washington biography by Ron Chernow. I was curious, so I channeled his chart. I always take celebrity overleaves with a grain of salt, since it's possible that many channels have already gotten information, but I share what I got for what it's worth:

3rd-mature king, male warrior ET, scholar/sage casting, growth, stoic, reserve, moving/emotional part, arrogance, mercurial/saturnian.

I am finding him to have been a very admirable person. I had previously thought him to be rather wooden, but although he could be formal, he also expressed deep feelings. In his younger days, he was a consummate athlete and was said to dance beautifully. He was fastidious about seeking a wide range of opinions before making a carefully reasoned decision, and continually sought to better himself. He was the most loved and famous American of his day from the war onward, and was mobbed when he went out in public or travelled, much like today's celebrities.

He was slow to evolve on the slavery issue. He freed his slaves in his will.

Terence Powers posted that he remembered a Yarbro channel saying that Washington was a young warrior, and I could also see a case for that. Thoughts?

Bill Maher

In October, we discussed Bill Maher, Jr. He was described as brash and mean-spirited. I was curious about his overleaves and did his chart. I expected to find that he's a cynic. Instead I got that he's a pragmatist sliding to cynic (he doesn't actually *feel* that acidic). Add that to being an "honorary king" with very high male (focused) energy, power mode, and arrogance, and I think it fits. Plus third young is the warrior level of the warrior soul age. I was surprised by growth rather than discrimination, but he doesn't have discriminating eyes.

Here's what I got:

Third-young sage, discarnate king ET, king/artisan casting, 85/15, 47 frequency, 10 previous cycles, growth, pragmatist sliding to cynic, power, moving/moving part, arrogance, saturnian/martial/neptunian.

I got him in cadre 10/entity 2. I don't know how that would translate into other channels' cadre numbering, but according to my channeling, he's in the same entity as James Cameron, Joel Goldsmith, Kris Kristofferson, and Alexander Lowen. Cameron is also quite abrasive.

Essence Boredom

Question: Is everyone’s Essence bored?

In this society, we would say the majority, yes. To stimulate it, of course, it must be
presented with challenges, not struggles.

When the Essence has to struggle, it refuses. Struggling is not worth the effort and it
knows this. Insoluble problems are good examples of struggles that the Personality
loves and the Essence flees from through boredom.

Question: What is Essence challenge?

Spiritual growth, for example. All forms of studious endeavor when undertaken for the
sheer joy of the undertaking. Some forms of religious pursuit. Work that is in Essence
[Role]. That is to say, for instance, painting was in Essence for the Old Artisan Raphael
and his Essence was not bored.

Question: What is in Essence for Warriors besides fighting?

Many positions involving administrations and leadership. Even supervisory positions in
public recreation areas. We know of many Mature and Old Warriors in this country now
working as park rangers and their Essences are not bored.

In the cadre numbering system Michael uses through me, he's in 8/7, the same (according to my channeling) as Bela Bartok, David Pogue, Andrea Thompson, and Mark Twain.

We grew up in the same town. Long Beach, Indiana, is a part of Michigan City. He is four months younger than me. He went to a private school but I have a vague memory of having met him on a bus in Long Beach in my early teens, and so does a close friend of mine. I was in a theater group with someone who went to school with him. Hence my curiosity.

Apparently, he was very conservative even as a child, and always whip smart (and sage-in-acceptance likable).

Robin Williams was one of the most universally loved figures ever. I wish someone could have taught him about artisans being the most sensitive and vulnerable of the roles, due to their five inputs, and techniques for "aural hygiene," how to keep one's energy field clear and well-organized. It can make a big difference. I think that energy medicine will be the next big thing. We need to become energy-literate.

The Roosevelts

No doubt a lot of us enjoyed the new Ken Burns documentary series about the Roosevelts. Eleanor wasn't mentioned in the original transcripts but Franklin was given as a mature sage, and Teddy, a young warrior.

I knew the least about Teddy and thought it was a great portrayal of a young warrior largely in positive poles. Teddy was a Republican but socially quite progressive and reform-minded. His colonialism and love and glorification of war were blind spots but not surprising for a third-young warrior: three is the warrior number, so he was a warrior at the warrior level of the warrior soul age. For him, war was an opportunity to demonstrate bravery and patriotism. His "bully pulpit" illustrates warrior persuasion. He had an interesting self-karma to have have been sickly as a child; he largely overcame that but his asthma and other health challenges continued to be issues that clashed with his enormous energy and drive.

FDR's polio, of course, was a huge self-karma. Overcoming it deepened his compassion and ability to be of service.

I channeled their charts. (The usual caveats about celebrity overleaves apply, and other channels have gotten some different information.) I was particularly interested to get that Franklin and Eleanor were in the same entity, 3/6 (1/6 through some channels) and that Frances Perkins, his Secretary of Labor (and the first woman cabinet member) and friend was his essence twin.

I'd thought him to be an artisan, but being an "honorary artisan" scholar makes sense, particular when considering the painstaking way he writes.

How Roles Approach Service

There are no hard-and-fast rules about this, but in general, those with a goal of submission are more interested in service than those with a goal of reevaluation or discrimination.

Those with a goal of growth are likely to be more concerned with their own process, but may be interested in serving others if that supports their growth.

Those with a goal of acceptance may serve others, especially in terms of helping others accept themselves, perhaps by simply being a loving presence for them, but will not tend to do as much in service as someone whose goal is on the action axis, submission or dominance.

Someone in acceptance is more likely to offer kind words, for example, in service, since acceptance is an expression axis goal.

Since growth and reevaluation are inspirational goals, people with these goals tend to serve others, if they have a service thrust, through inspirational means, wanting to help others with their own growth or reevaluation, for instance.

Spiritual growth is not the same as the goal of growth. Spiritual growth results from being in the positive pole of any overleaf, which allows for essence contact. The goal indicates the type of growth experiences a person tends to look for. With a goal of growth, you set up challenges and attempt to meet or overcome them. In acceptance, your emphasis is accepting what you cannot overcome or change. To truly overcome, accept, flow, discriminate, lead, devote, or reevaluate can contribute equally to spiritual growth.

ON THE OTHER HAND, THE YOUNG SOUL CAN BE AN EQUALLY ZEALOUS PROPONENT OF TOTAL SEXUAL FREEDOM. THE YOUNG SOUL PERCEIVES LOVE AS EROS, SOLELY PREDICATED UPON THOSE EXPECTATIONS IT HAS OF THE OTHERS AROUND IT. IF THE OTHERS FAIL TO LIVE UP TO THOSE EXPECTATIONS, THE YOUNG SOUL CAN HATE WITH EQUAL ZEST. SEXUAL CONFLICTS CAN BE AGONIZING IN THIS CYCLE — EARLY TRAINING VERSUS INTERNAL URGE.

WITH THE RIGHT PARTNER (ANOTHER MATURE SOUL WHO HAS BECOME CENTERED OR AN OLDER SOUL) THE MATURE SOUL CAN BE AN ARDENT LOVER. THE STORY IS, OF COURSE, CONSUMMATELY ABSURD. AS WE HAVE TOLD YOU REPEATEDLY, THE DEMONS CONJURED UP ON THE PHYSICAL PLANE ARE OF YOUR OWN CREATION. IF BELIEF IN THE EXORCIST’S SKILL IS GREAT ENOUGH, THE DRAGONS CAN BE SLAYED IN THIS WAY. THIS IS AN ANCIENT SKILL, NOW MUCH ABUSED. JESUS OF COURSE HAD THIS SKILL EVEN BEFORE THE MANIFESTATION [of the infinite soul], BUT HE ALSO REALIZED THAT THE DEMONS WERE SELF-INFLICTED. MOST OCCULT MASTERS WILLINGLY EXORCISED, BUT THEY DO TRY TO MAKE THE AFFLICTED ONE REALIZE THAT THE DEMONS WERE CREATED OUT OF ETHERIC MATERIAL, AND HAVE NO PLACE IN THE CONCRETE REALITY OF THE PHYSICAL PLANE. THAT IS VALID. YOU CANNOT BEGIN TO PUT THIS INTO PRACTICE UNTIL YOU FULLY UNDERSTAND IT. THE SYNTHESIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO SEE THE ENTIRE SYSTEMS OF IDEAS AS ONE UNIFIED IDEA — THE CONTINUOUS CREATIVE FORCE. UNDERSTANDING WHY THOSE AROUND YOU ARE LIKE THEY ARE WILL OPEN YOU UP TO AGAPE, AND TRUE ACCEPTANCE. THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO PUT PERSONAL AGENDAS ASIDE AND PURSUE THE PATH TOWARD COMMUNION WITH THE HIGH TEACHERS.
